COURSE INFORMATION -PGA NATIONAL - Opened in 1997, the PGA National course is set to be one of the top courses in the country, having hosted two PGA Seniors Championships. By no means secondary in importance to The Belfry's renowned Brabazon course, the PGA National offers a challenge not to be underestimated. Recognised by the PGA as a world-class tournament course and high-end corporate venue, the PGA National is one of only three PGA branded courses in Europe. Alongside the PGA National Ireland at Palmerstown House and PGA Centenary at Gleneagles, the PGA National course is of the highest prestige. The course has an American links-style feel, as it is fairly open with large greens and deep bunkers. With close to 70 strategically placed bunkers with faces up to 15ft in height and par 3s measuring up to 224 yards, this course will test even the lowest handicappers.
