Game 8 – Aston Wood Golf Club – 17th September 2023 Lee Austin was the runaway winner at Aston Wood with 39 points, some four points clear of Ian Kyte in second place. Stuart Chubb completed the podium edging a second successive third spot, this time on countback from Tim Higgs.
Game 7 – Handsworth Golf Club – 13th August 2023 Congratulations to the winner of game 7 at Handsworth, Phil Young, who pipped captain Mark Langford by just one point. Stuart Chubb completed the podium some four points back.
Game 6 – Great Barr Golf Club – 30th July 2023 Despite the weather, we were well looked after at Great Barr and had a good time. The scores were mixed, with Mick Weaver beating the field with a very impressive 38 points. Ashley Hayward edged out Steve Price and Barry Hamblett to claim second spot.
Game 5 – The Astbury Golf Club – 11th June 2023 A tough track at Astbury meant that nobody beat par with Sharon Cartwright coming out on top with 36 points, three points clear of Ian Kyte who took second place on countback from Paul Want.
Game 4 – Druids Heath Golf Club – 21st May 2023 Game 4 at the challenging Druids Heath Golf Club was won by Ashley who deservedly took home the trophy with an excellent score of 37 points with Steve Price a point behind in second place. Sharon Cartwright snuck into third place on countback.
Game 3 – Hollywood Golf Club – 30th April 2023 After Game 2 fell victim to the weather, the weather held out for the Society’s April event and it was won by ‘Captain Scarlet’ Mick Weaver with 39 points. Game 10 – Perton Park Golf Club – 6th November 2022 The final event of the year was the Ryder Cup style event between the Brummie Roaders and the Smethwick Enders. Game 9 – West Midlands Golf Club – 16th October 2022 Another great turn out and we enjoyed great weather and hospitality. There were also some crazy scores on what was not an easy course. Congratulations to Garry Doyle who took the victory on countback from Phil Young with Stuart Chubb completing the podium.
Game 8 – Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club – 18th September 2022 After another enjoyable day with good weather, it was Donna Vaughan who came out on top with a fantastic score of 40 points. Mike Dimbylow just edged Dennis Pilcher on count back to claim second spot.
Game 7 – Wharton Park Golf Club – 14th August 2022 The Committee Shield in August was won by Gary Mason, who pipped Paul Hutchinson to the win by a single point. Paul Harris made the podium on countback from Steve Price.
