The course proved to be the winner at Walsall as only one player beat their handicap, but it was close at both ends with multiple countbacks required! Congratulations to Tom Russell and, of course, to Lee Austin for prevailing in the battle for the Pink Shirt!

It was a great day at Sandwell Park with c£1,100 raised for the Albion Foundation so thanks to all that donated. Pete Rana won the individual event while he was also a member of the winning team, the Baggie Boys, which included Kelvin Warren, John Robinson and Stephen Jones.

It is, perhaps, fitting that it was the Chairman himself that won the Chairman’s Challenge Cup with a total of 35 points, although going from Pink Shirt to top spot is something of a surprise! Richard Stainer was a point behind with his second successive runners up finish, while Garry Doyle completed the podium positions a further point back.
