A heartwarming moment at the Hawthorns
Founder and chair of the Cyrille Regis Legacy Trust, Julia Regis, was honoured to receive a generous cheque for £1,859.26 from the West Bromwich Albion Supporters Golf Society. This presentation, conducted by Society chairman Garry Elwell and Captain Paul Want, was a long-awaited moment due to COVID delays.
Garry beautifully expressed the sentiment behind the donation: “The love and respect we all hold for Cyrille makes us all particularly proud to support the fantastic Trust Julia continues to build in his name.”
This wonderful contribution will help fund referee coaching courses for some of our young people, furthering our mission to support and empower the next generation.
As Julia said, “Every penny we receive is valued and helps us extend our support to the young people the Trust is focused on helping.”
The Trust expressed a massive thank you to the Society for their generosity and continued support of Cyrille’s legacy!
