The AJB Trophy was between two well-matched teams and it fittingly came down to the final match. It finished 6-6 overall allowing the Brummie Roaders to retain the trophy.
Lee Austin was the runaway winner at Aston Wood with 39 points, some four points clear of Ian Kyte in second place. Stuart Chubb completed the podium edging a second successive third spot, this time on countback from Tim Higgs.
Congratulations to the winner of game 7 at Handsworth, Phil Young, who pipped captain Mark Langford by just one point. Stuart Chubb completed the podium some four points back.
Despite the weather, we were well looked after at Great Barr and had a good time. The scores were mixed, with Mick Weaver beating the field with a very impressive 38 points. Ashley Hayward edged out Steve Price and Barry Hamblett to claim second spot.
A tough track at Astbury meant that nobody beat par with Sharon Cartwright coming out on top with 36 points, three points clear of Ian Kyte who took second place on countback from Paul Want.
